5 months! Where did the time go?! As of 6/22, Amelia Rose was 13 lbs, 2 oz and 24 inches long and she’s now wearing size 6 months. She went from the 2nd percentile to the 17th! Her eyes are very blue (I’m hoping they stay that color) but I’m not quite sure what color her hair will be. She takes up to 8 ounces at feedings but as little as 2 ounces and, though she still isn’t the best napper, she is sleeping through the night so I can’t really complain. We haven’t been able to wean her off of the reflux meds yet and she is still on the apnea monitor and the CPAP, but her sleep study on June 2nd showed her sleep apnea is improving (she went from having 28 episodes an hour to 16!)! She is rolling all over the place, can roll from tummy to back and from her back to her tummy, and is liking tummy time more and more. She is trying to talk much more, squeals and screams, and is almost laughing (we get a little chuckle sometimes!)! She doesn’t like to be ignored, loves baths, and is a very serious baby, but she always smiles when she sees her daddy! We’ve seen plastics and pulmonology this month (she was cleared from cardiology for a year back in March)- shes been cleared from plastics for 6 months and from pulmonology for 3 months when she’ll have another sleep study. We go back to ENT next Monday to hopefully find out more about her right ear, her hearing, and to find out if she needs tubes. We also finally got her genetic testing back and everything came back normal 🙂 She has physical therapy twice a week now for her torticollis and she’s really starting to teethe… I think it’s time to start trying solid foods!

This girl is such a good baby. I don’t know how we got so lucky but I’m thankful for every minute we get to spend with her. Happy 5 months Amelia Rose! We love you more than words can say.
I hope you all had a great weekend!
