A Pink & Green Bridal Shower

1-016
My sister-in-law’s pink and green/Lilly Pulitzer-themed bridal shower was this past Saturday!

The most delicious chocolate chip pound cake with butter cream icing I’ve ever had from Sophisticakes (it’s Tara’s favorite, too!)!

We had her framed invitation, thank you cards, and recipe box set up on this table as well… somehow, I just forgot to take a picture of the finished product :/

Mimosas and fresh strawberries!

Though this isn’t the best picture, this was the wine bucket (a monogrammed, galvanized party bucket from Pottery Barn) full of wine for the various “firsts” as a married couple that the bridesmaids gave to the bride.

The favors had two tea bags, honey sticks, sugar cubes, and a sweet saying on a green teapot that Tara and my husband’s grandmother  used to love. The centerpieces were also floral arrangements in china tea cups and saucers!

Apparently it’s bad luck not to have an umbrella at a shower (I learned this from my sister’s bridesmaids while we were planning her bridal shower).

So, I pretty much failed in my matron of honor duties as far as photographing the bridal shower goes… I didn’t get a picture of the framed invitation, the favors, the thank you notes, the wine basket gift with the poems from the bridesmaids, me and the bride, etc., etc. It’s crazy when I think of how many pictures I forgot to take… but then again, it was a large shower and I was kept pretty busy most of the time, so maybe I’ll cut myself a bit of a break 😉 It was a beautiful shower! Good food, great company, fun theme, happy bride! The perfect combination! The only thing that could have made for a nicer day would have been some sunshine (maybe then I would have remembered a picture with my sister-in-law instead of rushing at the end to keep out of the rain!)!
