The above two photos are of the gorgeous spa at the Dana Hotel. I had a manicure and a facial there (actually, scheduling a manicure was the first thing I did after breakfast on Friday to unwind a little before wandering around near our hotel for the afternoon) and both were amazing! The staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable and the atmosphere was so relaxing that I felt so much better as soon as I walked in the doors!
I snapped a picture of the sign explaining this really cool house… I knew I’d forget what I’d read once I walked away!
The church that we could see from our hotel room up a little closer.
A museum on Erie.
Michigan Ave… such a cool building!
Chicago definitely has some pretty awesome architecture…these last two photos were taken from Michigan Ave.
The Trump boasts some of the best views of the river from their rooftop bar (the staff was sweet and let us go outside to take in the view even though they had to close because of the high winds). Unbelievable.
How awesome is this?!
Guiliana and Bill Rancic’s restaurant, RPM. We had the best food there! It was honestly better than anything I’ve had in a long, long time!
The second night for dinner we went to a Mexican restaurant called Mercadito, which also had really good food but it was really crowded so I didn’t want to whip out my camera and annoy the other people there. Then we went to a really awesome whiskey bar that was set up like a speak easy… I would have liked to spend some more time there, too, but I couldn’t keep my eyes open so poor Joe had to take me home 🙁
Chicago is a really cool city that I feel like I didn’t get to explore nearly enough! I definitely want to go back sometime soon!
