Another month here and gone and I feel like I’ve hardly had time to process it! Time is going by so fast these days, sometimes I just want to stop everything else and take it all in as much as I can. But, I don’t, even though maybe I should a little (or a lot) more often.

Joseph, this last month has been a big one for you. You’re crawling everywhere, pulling up on everything, and talking so much (I feel like I should also mention, for posterity’s sake, that you’re doing this high pitched screaming thing now, too… not our favorite)! You’re clicking your tongue (it’s the cutest thing ever), clapping your hands, and doing “so big!” You’re almost standing on your own already (I feel like this is so early for that?!) and you’re putting everything in your mouth but still no teeth. You’re sleeping much better in general but you still have your nights… lucky you’re cute 😉 You’re a total mama’s boy and you’re starting to be interested in playing with your sister, though she’s not all that interested when you want to play with her toys. You have the best laugh and smile at the slightest provocation and it melts my heart every time. You love to be cuddled but are wanting to be held less and less as you’re way more into discovering this crazy world around you. We’ve been all over the place this summer and you’re such a trooper. Though we found that you fare much better when we stick to your schedule and have you fed and in bed by 8:30 at the latest.

You became a big cousin for the second time at 7 months to Carter James and I can already see the fun you two are going to have growing up together (can also read as trouble you’re going to cause!)!

We’re absolutely savoring this life and time with you and Amelia but you guys are so incredible that we can’t help but think about adding one more to our little family. But whether we do or don’t, I hope you always know that you are the light and love of our lives and your daddy and I love you both so, so much! You make everything better and even on my worst days, one look at you and I know everything is going to be ok.
