I wore this laid back look (notice any trends over here lately? I feel like even this is “dressed up” for me recently!) for a day of walking around the resort when we stayed at The Greenbrier. I love the tee shirt and cozy cardigan look- it just feels so “fall” to me and looks really great with a blanket scarf, plaid or solid would look cute.
This is a view of one of the golf courses (I think it’s the Old White TPC). Even though it was not playable because they had a devastating flood recently that wiped out 2 out of 3 of their courses (including the Old White which hosts the PGA tour every year), it was still beautiful. We had lunch at Sam Snead’s which was one of the most delicious meals I’ve had in a long time. The vinegar chips with warm bleu cheese sauce were amazing!
This is the view from the President’s Cottage at the top of the hill (where 5 US Presidents actually stayed prior to the Civil War, though the Greenbrier has been host to 26 US Presidents in total). The history of this place is incredible! Aside from being a historic hotel and resort, it was also occupied by both sides during the Civil War and served as a hospital during World War II, after which Dorothy Draper was commissioned to redesign the hotel.
This dome houses the original spring for which the hotel was first famous (and was the initial attraction to the area). People would travel from all over to “take the waters.”

If you missed it yesterday, I’m hosting a Facebook giveaway HERE with Made By Mary for a $50 shop credit! I’m wearing the Everly bar necklace (17″) with my two babies’ names engraved on it and the hammered crescent necklace (18″). I love both necklaces, especially when layered, but the engraved one is my favorite. It’s a sweet reminder of what (or who, rather) is nearest and dearest to my heart (besides Joe, of course, but that’s why I say it’s one of my favorite pieces of jewelry next to my engagement ring) and I love that it’s totally able to be customized! You can have a piece engraved with just a word, date, names, initials, etc., which is why it also makes a perfect gift! Anyway, I hope you check out and enter the giveaway (it’s really simple!)! Have a great day, guys, and thanks so much for reading!!
