These pants are one of my favorite purchases I’ve made this summer. They’re extremely comfortable and yet they make me feel like I’m wearing real clothes as opposed to pajamas and casual comfort is key in my book. I love that they work for running errands or for playing on the beach with the kids and this linen (they come in white, too, which I also love!) reminds me of a quintessential coastal look. I’ve paired them with white, light pink, and coral but I think they’d look really pretty paired with a light blue top and silver slides, too! Add this baseball hat and you’ve got the perfect “Saturday” look.

I’m also wearing one of my favorite tees here from Everlane (no, these aren’t sponsored, I just really love their tees and their prices are beyond reasonable and I think the quality is great) again. I’ve been really focusing on building my basics up and this is a great place to start. A plain white tee is a must in any wardrobe both for layering and for days when you feel like you have nothing to wear.

The water in these photos looks so beautiful! Somehow I feel like no matter how many times we make the beach, it’s never enough. I could absolutely live near the ocean and never tire of the view. There’s just something so calming about the water and looking at it always puts things in perspective for me (something that I really could use a daily dose of).

Speaking of focusing on building my wardrobe basics, would anyone be interested in a closer look at my wardrobe? I’ve been meaning to do a full closet cleanout and was thinking about doing a post on what’s in my closet (post cleanout) and my favorite wardrobe pieces. I’ve been really trying to fill it with pieces that are most “me” and ones that I know I will wear time and time again.
