As you may or may not know, we’re in the process of redecorating our house. Our whole house. So, there’s a lot to do and unfortunately, there’s also a tight budget. We bought our house when we were only 22 years old and so, as you can imagine, our styles have greatly changed and matured in the last 7 years. While I still love color, I much prefer pops of color now as opposed to color everywhere, which is what we had before (every room was painted a different color and nothing really “flowed” together). I also really love the farmhouse style (who doesn’t?!) but I’m adding my own flair as I go. I love the distressed look but I also love clean lines. I love bold colors but I also like vintage pieces. Whereas I feel like a typical farmhouse style is generally pretty neutral, at least most farmhouse looks I find are, my look is a bit more modern, colorful, and a little more minimal… I think (not that it’s better or worse, it’s just my style!)!
