I’ve had this for over two years now and it’s just gotten better with age. I don’t take buying totes (or bags) lightly and they need to stand up to a lot of weight (because I carry EVERYTHING in my bag… I’d blame it on having kids but I think I’m just that way anyway!) and wear and tear. This one is one of my favorites.
It took me a few tries to get the right size (I ended up going down two full sizes) but once I did, I wore them all summer. I’ve worn them out, to the beach, and everywhere in between. I really like the off white color and I’m thinking about ordering these next.
Joe got me this backpack a few years ago for Christmas to use instead of a diaper bag and that’s what we’ve been using ever since. It doesn’t have sectioned pockets or anything (it does have side pockets on the outside but they’re pretty tight so we’ve had trouble finding water bottles that fit there) but I love it. It’s sleek, durable, and transitions really well to whatever we need it for.
Solid & Striped The Anne Marie Swimsuit
Hands down this is my favorite one piece I’ve ever tried and worn. It is THE suit that made me like one pieces, actually. It’s flattering, covers and shows just enough to make you feel really cute but also able to chase your kids on the beach (or go in the ocean without fear of your top falling off)! Sizing note: I wear an xs- I could have worn a small if I had a larger chest, though!
Paige Denim Transcend Verdugo Skinny Cropped Jeans
I’ve also had these for a few years (3, I think, so they may just be a similar version of the ones I have) and while they are included in the sale, mostly my point here is this is a really good time to get a good pair of jeans. I’ve been consciously sorting through my closet for the past year or two and actively donating (or sending to ThredUp… side note: has anyone used Poshmark?) what I don’t wear (it’s a process for me, I have a HARD time letting go of clothes for some reason) and trying to replace things with better versions and I really like Paige Denim. They’re the only other jeans I have next to my Everlane ones.
I haven’t been able to find the pink in a long time but I LOVE these sunglasses. I have a few really nice pairs of sunglasses (these, a Kate Spade pair, and Ray-Bans) and otherwise I typically supplement with ones under $50 (Nordstrom has a ton under $20 and they’re typically my go to’s!) but I really like my good ones. I particularly like the weight and shape of these… I really love them in this amber color!
I got this for Christmas last year and before that I’d wanted it for over a year. This bag is roomy, it stands on its own, durable, and really cute! Mar Y Sol bags are also handmade using renewable material. This particular style isn’t available in this sale but there’s a lot of really cute ones that are (like this striped one or this gingham one!)! I also love this rainbow striped one… not sure I can justify buying it right now, though!
Original Tall Gloss Hunter Boots
This is my second pair of Hunter boots in probably 10 years and honestly, the first pair is still in decent shape. If you’ve been wanting a pair or have been waiting until they go on sale (the classic colors almost never do), here’s your chance!
NOTE: I’ve been pretty open here regarding my spending habits recently and how I’m trying to transition to sustainable brands and buying quality over quantity so I’m not going to tell you that you need to drop everything and shop this Shopbop sale right now. I am going to tell you, though, that this is a really good time to buy something if there is something in particular you need, that you’ve been saving for, or if you want to invest in a particular item (note: “invest” is a relative term in regards to clothing/jewelry items and I’ve come to realize that “affordable” is also relative. While I may think a $100 sweater is worth it or “affordable”, I also think it’s an investment whereas someone else may think that is a crazy price and another person may think that sounds inexpensive… just something to be aware of!).
I haven’t decided whether or not I’m going to purchase anything yet but here are some items that are currently sitting in my cart:
I had another post I wanted to publish this week (and I still may) because I forgot about the Shopbop Sale (HOW?!) but you can check out my Instagram for a sneak peek of the outfit that was originally meant to be posted here (hint: I’m wearing one of my favorite sustainable brands!)!
