Favorite Clean Beauty Products: Winter Edition

I’m calling this my “Favorite Clean Beauty Products: Winter Edition” but I honestly don’t switch up my routine much from season to season. I’ve simplified my skincare routine quite a bit this year and, while I’m looking for a few replacement products (a new vitamin c serum, maybe another anti-aging product, face sunscreen, and potentially an eye cream), I’m really very happy with the products I’m using on a daily basis and feel really good about recommending them. I typically check the EWG app when looking at new products so if you’re just starting out making the change to clean beauty, that’s a great resource!

I think clean beauty gets a bad reputation sometimes because people think it’s more expensive but it’s actually really affordable (I understand this is relative)! Obviously, there are higher end brands that are more expensive, like anything else, but I hope I’ve got a good enough mix here that you can find a swap that works for you! I try to mix a few luxury products with less expensive ones to make my skincare preferences work for my budget. Also, I’m not the DIY beauty type but there’s lots of information online you can find if you’re so inclined to make your own products with even safer ingredients and save some money while you’re doing it (I hear dry shampoo is relatively easy to make!). I’m really bad at remembering to gua sha my face & dry brush (for lymphatic drainage benefits) but if I remember, I like to add those things to my routine, too.

My Favorite Clean Beauty Products

Skincare: Face

Like I said, my skincare routine is pretty simple and I rarely wear makeup but here are the products and brands I’ve tried, use, and love*:

Face wash: Ursa Major Fantastic Face Wash has changed my skin for the better

Face scrub: Acure Brightening Facial Scrub (I use this about once a week in the shower)

Vitamin C serum: I still have some Beautycounter left but want to try this organic one

Day cream: DIME Dewy Day Cream

Face oil: Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil (so lightweight, smells lightly of roses, also want to try this brightening one)

Night cream: I sometimes use Biossance but looking at this Bakuchiol one

Eye Cream: Biossance Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream

Eyelash serum: DIME Eyelash Boost Serum (when I remember)

Teeth Whitener: Lumineux whitening strips

Toothpaste: I like BOKA right now (whitening for me & mango for the kids)

*If it’s helpful, I have combination skin that gets really dry in the winter.

Makeup

I don’t use a concealer and I rarely use foundation but when I do, I like OGEE’s foundation stick a lot. I also don’t use an eyeliner but I really want to try this gel liner!

Contour/Cheeks/Highlighter: OGEE trio in Radiant (colors are Obsidian, Pink Diamond, & Pearl… also, not as clean but the Jones Road Miracle Balm is on my list of products to try)

Mascara: OGEE, Honest, Ilia

Eyeshadow: Ilia has great talc-free palette options and I love Jones Road shimmer eye shadows

Brow gel: Kosas Air Brow in medium brown

Lip liner: Jones Road

Skincare: Body

I don’t have a favorite body wash or soap yet but Attitude bar soaps are all EWG Verified!

Body oil: OSEA Undaria Algae Body Oil (this is my FAVORITE oil ever, it has a really pretty scent, & I use it pretty religiously year-round)

Shave cream: Billie Whipped Shave Cream

This is the mineral face sunscreen that I’ve been wanting to try! It looks like it comes out so silky and smooth and doesn’t leave a white cast on your face!

I use this weekly and if I skip it, it makes a big difference. After washing my hair with this scalp scrub (I usually use it in place of regular shampoo), my hair looks shinier and my scalp doesn’t look as flaky.

Haircare

In case you couldn’t tell from the photos, I really love Rahua.

Shampoo: Rahua Classic Shampoo (also really like Acure’s line & Attitude products & use these for the kids daily)

Conditioner: Rahua Classic Conditioner (again, Acure & Attitude are great options at a lower pricepoint… I go back & forth between all of these)

Scalp scrub: GOOP (my favorite but Rahua also has one that I want to try)

Deep conditioner: Innersense Natural Hydrating Hair Mask

Curl cream: Innersense Quiet Calm Curl Control

Mousse: Rahua Aloe Vera Hair Mousse

Sea Salt Spray: Rahua Enchanted Island Salt Spray (smells incredible)

Hair oil: Rahua Color Full Glossing Oil
