This is one of those looks that I wish I could wear a variation of every day. It’s comfortable, casual, but put together enough to go out in public and look like you tried to get dressed that day. These jeans are a new find from Everlane (my go to for tees) and I love them! They’re their modern boyfriend style and they say they look great sized up, regular size, and sized down (so extremely versatile) but I sized down because other reviewers seemed to think they ran big. I’m glad I did because they still have the perfect amount of slouch to them but I don’t feel like they’re too baggy.
As my style has evolved with age (& I like to think experience, haha!), I’ve been drawn to more classic yet easy pieces. Maybe it’s more likely that chasing after toddlers just isn’t practical in heels and pencil skirts and jeans you can’t move in, but either way, I tend towards comfortable, moveable pieces like everything I’m wearing here. Upgraded basics, if you will. Sidenote: I’ve found some gorgeous maxi, easy, simple floral dresses for spring and summer that I’ll put together a post on soon if anyone is interested!
I recently got this wave ring from Nautical Wheeler and I don’t know if obsessed is a strong enough word to use for my feelings towards it! I got it in gold and I love that it’s handmade in New England. I wear it every day because it reminds me of the ocean. When I turned 30 in July, I sent a picture of a wave crest just like this ring to my siblings and my mom and told them I wanted us to all get a matching tattoo of it! Haha, so I’m glad I found this ring to tide me over for a while!
I didn’t get these mules too long ago (maybe only a month or two ago) but it looks like they’re already sold out so I rounded up a few of my favorite white mules for spring (love these woven ones and these cutout ones)… I already want another pair! Mules have definitely been my go to shoe for at least the last year and as long as they keep selling them, I’ll keep buying. They’re comfortable, easy to slip on, and go just as well with jeans as they do dresses. And I feel a little more dressed up and feminine when I wear them as opposed to booties (not to knock my love for booties, I just didn’t get a new pair this year).

I wore this to the aquarium a couple weekends ago when we took the kids for the first time. Joseph was there, too, he was just in the stroller for these photos. They (and I) LOVED it! We went to the Adventure Aquarium in Camden and I don’t know what I was expecting but it was so nice! There were so many exhibits and we all, minus Joseph, touched a sting ray and Joe touched a shark! Amelia loved the shark tunnel and the hippos and I really liked the Piranha rain forest storm. We didn’t do any of the actual shows or the shark bridge but I would love to go back and spend a little more time there! The river walk was also really pretty so I’d like to go when it’s a little warmer so we can walk outside a bit, too! This may be one of my favorite things we’ve done with the kids yet so I’m looking forward to planning some more outings and trips this spring/summer! I’d love to hear if you have any suggestions for a 3 year old and 1 year old!
