I love trying new patterns to mix but sometimes I’m print mixing out of necessity, mostly when I’m re-wearing an item and especially when I’m re-wearing it for the blog, because I want it to look different. It’s tough to buy new things all the time, and now it’s worse since I sort of have to buy certain things that I wouldn’t necessarily wear on a normal basis (because of this growing baby bump!)… so I hope you’ll bear with me these next few months 🙂 Even though the gingham under this lace print dress is a bit busy, it works because everything is neutral (which automatically tones it down) and in the same color family. I added a black bag and black booties to keep everything simple. And pearls work with everything! I don’t know about you, but I love layered looks and am pretty excited to be able to wear them again!

I hope you all had a great weekend! We hung around the house quite a bit which was nice but we also got the crib and dresser set up in the nursery on Saturday night! The room we’re using for our nursery is very small so I’m feeling a little squished in there right now but I can’t wait to get everything together and set up- I think it will look much better when it’s all done 🙂 Stay tuned for updates!!
