body wash, beach tote, beaded earrings, floral earrings, drop earrings (I have and LOVE these!), natural deodorant, Yeti tumbler, sneakers (carbon neutral & super comfortable!), bag, facial oil set, basket, pajamas (top, bottoms)
I know I’m a little late with this one but if you’re anything like me, you forgot Mother’s Day was this weekend and still haven’t gotten anything yet. So, I wanted to put together a little collage of simple ideas covering many price points. I’m a strong believer in gifting from the heart and no one knows your mom like you do. I also really like the idea of gifting something she probably wouldn’t buy for herself, such as a really nice tote bag, a special piece of jewelry, or even just a nice pajama set. Maybe you know something she’s been wanting for a while and if you have siblings, you can go in on a gift together. I love the idea of themed gifts, too, particularly when they’re usable- you could get a nice basket and roll up a fun doormat, add a spring scented candle, some non toxic hand wash, and another decor or home item you know your mom would love. If she’s more of a beauty lover, pick up her favorite luxury beauty item or a smaller basket or reusable tote and pick out some new (green and clean) skincare items for her skin type and add a punchy lip balm (I think this option would be so fun!)! If she loves the beach, what about a beach bag filled with reef safe sunscreen, a pretty just-for-her towel, some spf lip balm, and a good book or a Yeti thermos? Target has a lot of great clean beauty options that you can order online and pick up on store and so does Nordstrom! Framing a special photo (or photos) is always a good option, too! Or maybe she’d like something as simple as taking her out for brunch or for a manicure/pedicure. Or maybe she’d like a facial or even just to spend some one on one time- pack a lunch and go for a hike, drive to the beach for the day… gifting doesn’t have to be expensive, just thoughtful.
Speaking of being thoughtful, I know that Mother’s Day can be a really hard day for some of us. Whether you’re in a season of longing to be a mother, loss, or you’re missing your mother, this day can be a potent and sometimes painful one so I just wanted to bring awareness to that as a reminder to be gentle in your words and actions on this day (and every day). Sending all my love and positive vibes to all you mamas, mamas to be, and to anyone struggling this Mother’s Day.
If you have any other ideas, please leave them in the comments so everyone can benefit!
