On our last really nice day last week (I think it went up to 70 degrees!), I put the kids in the car and drove to the beach for a few hours. I love the early (and late) part of the season when it’s nice enough to sit on the beach but almost no one is there. It’s really nice with toddlers because I can just let them run and I don’t have to worry about them getting lost in a crowd of people or who they’re running into, which is particularly desired when I’m on the beach with them by myself.
I brought their SwimZip swim suits with us hoping it’d be warm enough for them to wear them and it was (I also brought sweatshirts)! They love wearing these suits and I love them because they are a true sun safe swim brand. Aside from being really cute, their suits and rash guards (the rash guards are my favorite- they zip!) are all UPF 50+! I love that I can use less sunscreen when they wear them because they protect my kids so well (I don’t think either of them have ever actually had a real sunburn… other than getting a little pink here and there), it helps the planet because less sunscreen means less of anything leaching into the ocean (even though I try to only use ocean safe brands), and I save money on buying sunscreen because we don’t go through it as quickly.
I’m really excited to be partnering with SwimZip for a GIVEAWAY! I’m giving away a $25 shop credit so that you, too, can try their swimsuits for your littles! Fun fact: the first time I tried SwimZip was when I won a giveaway almost 4 years ago now and we’ve been wearing them ever since! No need to have kids to enter, they also offer women’s and men’s sun safe styles if you’d rather get a suit for yourself!! All you have to do is like this post on Instagram, tag at least 3 friends in the comments (a separate comment for each, please- each additional friend is an extra entry!), and like 3 of SwimZip’s posts! Please make sure you’re following me (@brittanyamonroe) and SwimZip (@swimzip) on Instagram!
We currently have 10 SwimZip swimsuits between the last 3 summers and no, not all of them were gifted (in case you wanted to know whether I would actually buy them or not, I would, I have, and I will continue to do so!). I also have 2 additional long sleeve rash guards for Amelia and I am planning on getting one for Joseph this year. Here’s Amelia’s and Joseph’s first Swimzip suits, these ones and these ones are from last year, and these are this year’s suits! I also have one for each of them from SwimZip’s capsule collection this year.
I also want to point out that $25 is more than enough for either a rash guard or boy shorts and only $5 less than most swimsuit sets! Some other prints of theirs I really love are their new ditsy floral set, the palm leaf swim shorties, and everything from their mini capsule collection (I have the “Sucker for You” bikini in gingham for Amelia and the “Catch a Wave” swim trunks for Joseph in gingham but I love the striped version, too!)!

I hope you all had a great weekend and a happy Easter if you celebrated! Now that Easter is over, it’s time to put the full focus of our attention on our house… we’re hoping to move back in this weekend and there’s SO much to do! Wish us luck!
