This polka dot skirt is one of my favorite recent purchases. I love the material that makes the skirt so flattering, the leather waistband adds the perfect amount of edge, and the polka dots add just the right amount of playfulness. Also, the black and white is right on trend! I have a sneaking suspicion I’ll be wearing this skirt a lot since it also will be great for transitioning to fall (I’ll try my best to keep its appearances on the blog to a minimum!)! For this look, I wanted to keep the colors simple so I added neutral heels but chose ones in snakeskin to add some texture and interest. The various textures and patterns in this look keep it from being too monotonous, even though the colors are all similar shades.

I’m having a hard time getting over the fact that today is August 1st… where did July go? I know that the summer always flies by but I feel like this summer has gone by particularly fast. Anyone else feel that way? Well, since there’s nothing we can do about the passing of time ;), here’s to having a wonderful August and ending the summer on a high note!
