Stripes for Spring

We’ve been in our false spring era this week but today we’re back to winter. I think going from winter to spring is one of the trickiest transitions to dress for in the Northeast because you’re so ready for lighter layers come March, but it’s actually still pretty cold here until at least April. So, in light of being able to shed some layers or wear lighter clothing, I’ve been wearing pieces that look like spring but still feel like winter. One pattern that always makes me feel like warmer months are coming is stripes! They make me happy no matter the season, especially when they’re done in a classic color palette. Side note if you’re in the market for better basics, Everlane is having a sale on their tees today 3 for $60

Outfit Details: Everlane Sweater, Everlane Jeans, Ugg Boots,

Wide-leg jeans are still big and though they may have started out as a trend, they feel really classic when done right. I like the washed look (dare I say stripe?!) at the bottom of these and I the frayed finish will look just as great with a sandal as it does with sneakers.

I have this sweater and it is 100% worth the buy. It’s a really nice weight that feels warm layered over a long sleeve tee but also light enough to wear on the beach over your swimsuit. It’s also under $50 and made of organic cotton!
