The 90’s Jean From Everlane (& The Best Rain Boots)

I recently received a few items from Everlane and while I expected to love them (because I love pretty much everything they do), I didn’t expect to love them as much as I do! This is my third pair of Everlane jeans and I love them more than my designer jeans, if I’m being honest. The prices are much more affordable, the quality is incredible (even their tee shirts, most of which are under $25, hold up for years- literally- I’ve had my first Everlane tee for over 4 years now and it’s still in great shape!), and I really love that they’re focused on sustainability.

If I were to create a capsule wardrobe, every single item that I’m wearing here would be in it. I added the scarf for some color and interest because as much as I see and know the value of neutral basics, I’m still a color lover at heart! Also included would be The Day Glove flat (I haven’t tried this yet but it’s next on my list, and has been for a while!), this tee (this is one of their newer styles that I also haven’t tried but want to! How pretty is the pale yellow?!), and I’ve heard incredible things about this wide leg cop pants! All of these pieces would be able to transition to a spring wardrobe, too!

I was really pleasantly surprised when I tried on these rain boots and they were actually quite comfortable. They’re a little tough to get on the first time (you really use the provided pull loops on the shoe to help) but then it gets easier. I’ve only had them for about two weeks and I’ve already worn them a handful of times, in rain and shine, walking through puddles and mud with my kids, and I honestly love them. I went a half size down (they’re whole sizes only) and they fit really well and are actually very comfortable.

This cardigan is so soft! I love the belt because it gives you a little shape which is especially nice when you’re feeling a little bulky from all the layers you’re wearing (because I don’t know about where you are but it’s COLD here!)! I also like that it’s cotton because it feels durable and I’m not afraid to wear it around my kids! I really want to try this cardigan, too… and pretty much everything in their soft cotton (the sweaters must be so comfortable! and perfect for transitioning seasons!)!

I love this shell pink color and they also come in 4 other colors (I like the toffee color, too)!

Have you been following along on Instagram? I recently started a dedicated account for our home, Rose James Cottage, and I’d really appreciate it if you could let me know either here or there what you’d like to see more of there! What are you guys up to this weekend? I keep going back and forth between needing to get some projects done and wanting to get away for a couple of days (I just can’t decide where I want to go!)! I think this weekend, though, we’re going to try to get the yard raked and prepped so we can seed it soon. And maybe we’ll get the playroom cleaned up and out because I want Joe to board & batten it and paint before we move back. So many ideas, so little time!

Sincerely, Britt
