If you’ve been following along here for a while, you know I’m on a mission to support more sustainable brands and to live a greener life. I’ve been a fan of Everlane for years and they’re my go to for everyday basics, in particular. I love their jeans and tees and recently got a chance to try their rain boots which I loved, too! However, until now, Everlane didn’t have a sneaker option and I didn’t know where to find a sustainable sneaker. Enter TREAD by Everlane.
TREAD by Everlane is on a mission to create zero impact sneakers. They use full grain leather (the strongest, most durable leather) at a gold certified tannery (meaning the group that maintains environmental standards for leather), then they cut the virgin plastic they were using by 54% by using recycled and renewed plastic wherever possible. They’re also using a third party to offset their carbon emissions. Read more about the process and their master plan here!
Aside from being eco friendly and sustainable, they’re really comfortable! They come in 6 other colors and also come in men’s sizes. I’m wearing the off white but I really like the blush and the glacier, too!
I’m wearing the lightweight French Terry shrunken hoodie here and I really love the fit and look with my high waisted leggings (not Everlane- they don’t have leggings yet but Girlfriend Collective makes leggings made from recycled water bottles if you’re looking for a sustainable option and they’re really cute!). It’s lightweight which makes it a really great transitional piece and it would be a perfect additional to a capsule wardrobe, too, as it layers well (it would be super cute under a jean jacket on cooler days/nights)!
On a side note, does anyone else struggle with finding the right fit in leggings? I always opt for the larger size because I’m afraid they’ll be see through or too tight but then after a few wears they’re definitely too big and they bunch up too much… anyone else??

It feels like we’re finally settling back in this week even though our contractor is still finishing up some odds and ends. If it stops raining for enough time, I’m planning on photographing Amelia’s room and the kitchen and dining room for the blog reveal so fingers crossed! Are you following me on Instagram? I’ve been posting some pictures so follow me there if you’re not already!
