We’ve had a few weddings this year already and it’s been fun curating more dressed up looks again… it’s definitely been a nice change from the workout clothes that I usually wear. I’m sure it comes as no surprise that I’ve been drawn to color and floral prints and with another wedding coming up, I’m currently looking for another such dress for the occasion. I’ve been keeping an eye out for a bold floral print or a bright pink dress but I also really love this open back lavender dress for a summer wedding. You could add a fun clutch and bright earrings to liven it up a bit or keep it simple with nude heels and a mini bag.

I try to only buy pieces that I know I will wear again and I mostly stick to sustainable brands (think Reformation or Farm Rio) or designer pieces that I find on sale (I love Saks or Shopbop for this- I filter by size and sort by price). I want to be able to dress a piece up or down and, ideally, wear it for at least 3 seasons. I think this would be my best piece of advice when it comes to shopping for a wedding guest dress. Make sure to consider your wardrobe, budget, and other occasions where you may be able to rewear whatever you’re buying!
