Happy 6 months, Amelia Rose! This has been a really amazing month as I feel like she’s learned so much and is so much more interactive every day! She smiles every time she sees her daddy, loves to play (especially with her links), she loves cuddling with blankets, and talks up a storm. She’s grabbing both feet with her hands and is almost sitting on her own, she stands with minimal assistance, she LOVES food (she’s had oatmeal, rice, bananas, apples, pears, peaches, carrots, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, and peas) and is taking more food (2 meals a day) and less of her formula (about 3 bottles a day), she loves blowing raspberries (thanks, Mom), and is rolling all over the place! She’s finally starting to nap about twice a day, though they’re only about an hour long each, and is still on and off with sleeping through the night but she hasn’t been taking a bottle in the middle of the night for a few months now. She went in the ocean for the first time last weekend and she was enthralled! She also went in a pool for the first time this month and loved that, too… she’s definitely a water baby (yay!)! She had her first surgery this week (she did great!) and we found out some awesome news about her right ear and vocal chord. She has blueberry eyes and her hair is starting to come in very light and looks like it has a red tint to it sometimes. She still fits into some of her 3 months clothes but is mostly in 6 months and size 2 diapers (though I’m starting to buy size 3).

I can’t believe my little Mia is 6 months old already! It’s scary how fast the time goes but I’m trying to cherish every second that I can. We are so in love with our sweet girl and though she’s been through a lot already, I thank my lucky stars every day because I know there is always someone who has it harder. Somehow my feisty little 5 pound NICU baby has turned into a beautiful, serious, sweet, curious, and determined (and still feisty) 6 month old, complete with leg rolls! Amelia Rose, Mommy and Daddy love you more than you will ever know.

I thought it was appropriate to use lemons and limes with this photo shoot because aside from the fact that they just remind me of summer, Lilly Pulitzer started making her iconic dresses while running a juice stand in Palm Beach, Florida. Also, sorry for the picture overload!
