I love an easy, casual look both for everyday (since I don’t go to work in an office setting) and for weekends. There’s something so classic and chic about throwing on a tee shirt and jeans and a pair of slip ons and being ready to go. Swipe on a bold shade of lipstick and you’re pretty much ready for anything! I especially feel this way now that I’m 34 weeks pregnant (and because none of my tees fit right now so I’m really missing that look!) and don’t always feel like getting dressed so the simpler the better!


If you’re one of those people who normally tends towards neutrals or if you’re like me and just in a bit of a neutral phase, a bold lip is a really easy way to add color. If you’re leery about bold lip colors, try a brighter gloss or a balm- they’re not as pigmented but will still give you a fun color boost! I think a bright bag (like this red one) would have also given this look a little extra oomph but of course I was rushing and forgot a bag.

Happy Friday! I’ve been somewhat out of sorts this week, first with trying to cram so many house projects and cleaning into such a short time (not to mention everything else I want to get done before the baby gets here, like Christmas shopping… which I’ve hardly started), then we got some not so good news about one of our cats mid-week. He has a severe form of diabetes that would require two shots of insulin a day and a special diet, among other things, to manage. I’m really hoping to re-home him to someone who can give him all the love and care he deserves (so if you know anyone who would be willing to take on this responsibility, please let me know!). I just don’t think we can do it with our current lifestyle and second baby on the way. So anyway, it’s been overwhelming to say the least these last few days and we’ve got some tough decisions to make coming up that are making me pretty sad. Any prayers or positive vibes would be much appreciated!
