Butter Yellow

With spring on the horizon, I’m feeling that typical pull towards lighter and brighter colors. I’m all about a clean, white palette but there’s something about infusing your wardrobe with fresh and fun colors that feel classic and not trendy. Simple solids, chic stripes, or even a pretty floral print can add so much personality to your look. I love the way this neutral, camel-colored cardigan adds just a pop of butter yellow in the cuffs and trim- it makes all the difference in this casual outfit and makes it a little more interesting!

Butter yellow is such a pretty color year round but it feels extra appropriate for spring. Pair it with neutrals if too much color feels overwhelming to you or add another shade or two to brighten up your look! I love this yellow with pinks and blues and you could even add a red shoe for an unexpected accessory! If I’m pairing pastels, I try to add a bolder color somewhere or let one of the hues be stronger than the pastel shade to avoid looking too much like an Easter egg!

I’ve been saving so many feminine blouses to my carts lately and I love how sweet the ruffle detail on this one is. The honey color is so pretty and would reads as a neutral. It’s also all cotton so you can feel good about what you’re wearing, too! I love this flowy blue top if you like color and this Sezane embroidered blouse feels so special.

If you don’t have a silk skirt in your closet yet, let this one be it. I have two and I want a third for spring. I love that this butter yellow shade feels almost golden and would work for any season either layered with a sweater and boots now or a slinky blouse and sandals later.
